DZD Online Tools

A computational framework combining QTL, miRNA target prediction and transcriptomics for the discovery of miRNAs as regulative element responsible for effects mediated via QTL. The tool provides target predictions and experimentally validated interactions in three different metabolic active tissues (gWAT, BAT and muscle) of 170 miRNAs located within QTL. To gain insides into the function of a particular miRNA, pathway enrichment analysis of KEGG pathways or gene ontology terms of the target genes can be performed.

Collaborative Diabetes Cross
Genome-wide linkage analyses localized more than 290 quantitative trait loci (QTL) for obesity, 190 QTL for diabetes-related traits and 100 QTL for plasma metabolites in the out-cross populations of obese and diabetes-prone NZO mice crossbreed with four different lean strains (B6, C3H, DBA,129P2). Results are visualised and Genes in QTL regions can be exported for further analysis.
