Molecular Metabolism (ISSN: 2212-8778) is an open access journal published by Elsevier. Partners of the publication are the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD) and Helmholtz Munich.

The journal is devoted to the rapid publication of breakthroughs in mechanistic metabolism research. It is committed to serving as a platform reporting discoveries in energy homeostasis and in the etiology, development, treatment and associated health consequences of metabolic disorders, such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
