DZD Diabetes Research School - First Online Lecture Series, Autumn 2020
Due to the COVID19 pandemic the DZD Diabetes Research School turned into an interactive online lecture series in September and October 2020.
We were happy that also in 2020 renowned diabetes scientists provided exciting insights into their current research:
Philipp Scherer, University of Texas Dallas (USA)
Adipose tissue - Sept. 29
Kathleen Page, University of Southern California Los Angeles (USA)
Brain regulation of nutrition - Oct 1
Miriam Cnop, University of Brussels (BE)
Lipotoxicity in pancreas - Oct 6
Marit Eika Jørgensen, Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen (DA)
Epidemiology of type 2 diabetes in Danish population - Oct 8
Bente K. Pedersen, University of Copenhagen (DA)
Muscle as endocrine organ - Oct 13
Colin Dayan, Cardiff University (UK)
Prevention of type 1 diabetes - Oct 15
A selection of participants had the opportunity to present their own research with a poster talk - a 5 minute talk supported by a few slides.
The online meetings took place Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 to 6.30 pm (CEST/UTC+2), over the course of three weeks, starting September 29.
