Mission of the Advisory Board

The DZD Citizens' and Patients' Advisory Board pursues the goal of enabling science to recognize the needs of citizens and patients and their relatives and to incorporate them into research work by contributing personal perspectives. It acts as a link between patients, citizens and researchers and aims to broaden perspectives through its work.

The Advisory Board points out where it believes there is still room for improvement in research and communication. To this end, the members of the Advisory Board engage intensively with research topics and share their life experiences. The Advisory Board acts in an advisory capacity.

Furthermore, the Advisory Board aims to raise awareness of diabetes research and increase public awareness of the topic of diabetes.
