Reliable Partners and Public Funding
The portal is a joint service of the DZD and the DZD partners the German Diabetes Center and Helmholtz Munich and is funded by the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA), the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Comprehensive Content
In addition to basic knowledge, current news and background articles, the portal offers practical downloads, explanatory films, podcasts, infographics, quizzes and much more on the topics of prevention and living with diabetes as well as related diseases, such as overweight and cardiovascular disease. All content has been reviewed by doctors and scientists. Large sections are offered in English, Turkish, Polish and Russian. In the German version, there are also pages in plain language and videos in sign language.

The “Information for Specialists” section offers diabetes consultants, pharmacists and PTAs in-depth insights into current research activities as well as illustrative material for patient discussions, which is also available for download.
